A Web Designer Based Right Here in Onondaga County

Onondaga County is home. This is where I live, where I work, and where I have watched local businesses grow, struggle, and reinvent themselves for years. From the shores of Onondaga Lake to the hilltop villages east of the city, this county is a patchwork of very different towns, and each one has hardworking owners who deserve a website as good as anything a big-city competitor can put up, without the big-city agency price.

For businesses inside the city limits, I keep a dedicated Syracuse web design page that goes deep on the downtown, Armory Square, and University Hill markets. This page is for the rest of the county: the family shop in Liverpool, the contractor running the Route 31 corridor, the CPA in a Fayetteville office park, the cleaning company booking homes across the suburbs, and the lakeside businesses out in Skaneateles.

There is a real difference in how that site gets built. By day I lead information systems and enterprise applications for a New York insurance and financial services company, so your website is built by a senior technology leader to enterprise standards. It is secure, fast, and accessible, while staying priced for a local budget. Hosting, updates, and SEO are included, there is no lock-in, and most sites go live in about two weeks. You can browse the results in my client case studies, or read how the whole process works. This county page is part of my wider Central New York web design coverage, alongside a focused look at the Liverpool village market and the Finger Lakes gateway city of Auburn.

A Town-by-Town Look at Onondaga County

No single template fits this whole county. Here is how I think about the places I build for, and the businesses I have already helped in them.

Start in Liverpool, right on the north end of Onondaga Lake. This is a village of independent shops and food businesses, and it is where I built a full digital storefront for Mazzye's Meats, a local butcher shop. That site organizes ten product categories, lets customers order with click-to-call, and sends SMS specials alerts to regulars. It is exactly the kind of practical, revenue-focused site a village retailer needs.

Head north and the county opens up along Route 31 through Clay and Cicero, one of the busiest commercial stretches in Central New York. This is contractor and home-services country, where dumpster rentals, landscaping, and trades compete town by town. That is the same challenge I solved for Xtreme Companies, a contractor running dumpster rentals and stampcrete with town-by-town local SEO across Onondaga and Oswego Counties and same-day delivery messaging.

West of the city sits Baldwinsville, where the Seneca River runs right through the village and the downtown has become a real destination again. Nearby Camillus anchors the western suburbs. Both are full of service businesses, from cleaners to contractors, that live on being found by neighbors. I have built booking-ready sites for Syracuse-area cleaning companies including Humble Hands Cleaning and Dina's Cleaning, both serving homes across these suburbs.

To the east, Manlius and Fayetteville form the county's professional corridor, a stretch of accounting firms, law offices, insurance agencies, and medical practices. This is where a polished, trustworthy website matters most, because clients here compare before they call. That is the market I built for with Prusinowski CPA, a Syracuse accountant who had spent 20-plus years in practice with no website until we launched the first one, added local SEO, leaned into a dental-practice specialization, and started drawing qualified organic leads.

Out at the southwestern edge, Skaneateles sits at the tip of its clear glacial lake, a village that draws visitors all summer and depends on capturing search traffic from people planning a trip. And up north, North Syracuse and Mattydale hug the airport, a corridor of retail, hospitality, and service businesses catering to travelers and commuters. Every one of these places searches a little differently, and I build each site around how its customers actually behave.

Why Onondaga County Businesses Get Overlooked Online

Outside downtown Syracuse, most county businesses are competing against template mills and out-of-region agencies that do not know the territory. These are the problems I fix, often starting with a website redesign.

Invisible in Local Search

If you do not rank for searches in your town, a customer in Baldwinsville or Manlius calls whoever Google shows first.

Slow, Bloated Sites

Template builders ship heavy code that crawls on a phone and quietly drags down your Google ranking.

Broken on Phones

Most local searches happen on a phone. A clumsy mobile site sends customers straight to a competitor.

No Clear Next Step

Visitors cannot tell how to call, order, or get a quote, so they leave without ever contacting you.

Seasonal Swings Ignored

Lake-effect winters and summer lake tourism change how customers here buy. Your site should capture leads through both.

Missing the Visitor Market

From Skaneateles to the airport corridor, people research ahead. Businesses that do not show up leave money on the table.

Onondaga County Businesses I Build Websites For

The county runs on a healthcare system, an insurance industry, a growing manufacturing base, and a deep bench of trades, shops, and professional firms. I build websites for the businesses behind all of it.

Shops & Retail

Independent stores, butchers, bakeries, and specialty retailers from Liverpool to the village squares.

Contractors & Trades

Roofers, HVAC, remodelers, and haulers working the Route 31 corridor and the suburbs beyond.

Professional Firms

Accountants, attorneys, and insurance agencies along the Manlius and Fayetteville corridor.

Food & Hospitality

Restaurants, cafes, and bakeries that give the county's towns their character and pull in visitors.

Manufacturing & Industry

Fabricators and suppliers poised to grow with new advanced-manufacturing investment in the region.

Home & Cleaning Services

Cleaners, landscapers, and in-home providers who need to get found the moment a neighbor searches.

Communities I Serve Across Onondaga County

I work with businesses throughout the county, from the lakefront villages to the airport corridor. That includes these communities and every town in between.

"I had my website built by Greg and I couldn't be happier with the results. My clients constantly tell me how professional, clean, and easy to use my site is. He has an amazing eye for design and made everything feel effortless on my end. He responds extremely fast, handles updates and suspension appeals before I even notice there's an issue, and always goes above and beyond without me having to ask. He's friendly, patient, and truly cares about making sure your business looks its best. If you're looking for someone reliable, talented, and dedicated, I highly recommend him. He's the best designer I've worked with.... hands down!!!"

Onondaga County Web Design FAQs

All of it. This is the county I live and work in, so I build for the whole map: Liverpool, Clay, Cicero, Baldwinsville, Camillus, Manlius, Fayetteville, Skaneateles, North Syracuse, Mattydale, and every town in between. Syracuse city has its own dedicated page for businesses inside the city limits, but this page is for the wider county, from the airport corridor to the lakefront villages.

Every project is quoted individually after a short, no-pressure discovery call, and pricing is built for local budgets, not big-city agency rates. Hosting, security, backups, and ongoing updates are always included, with no lock-in and no surprise invoices. Call (315) 246-7413 or email [email protected] and you'll usually have a real quote within a day.

Because a shop in Liverpool markets nothing like a contractor working the Route 31 corridor through Clay and Cicero, and a professional firm in Fayetteville reaches clients differently than a lakeside business in Skaneateles. I know these towns, the roads people drive, and how customers here search on a snowy morning versus a summer weekend. That knowledge goes straight into how your site is built and worded.

That is the core of every build. I write each page around the exact phrases your customers type, like 'butcher shop Liverpool NY' or 'CPA near Syracuse,' with fast hand-written code, local business schema, and Google Business Profile setup. When someone in DeWitt, Baldwinsville, or Manlius searches for what you do, the goal is that they find you before the national chains and template mills.

Most projects go from our first discovery call to launch in about two weeks, depending on the number of pages and how quickly we pull your content together. You work directly with me the entire time, so nothing sits waiting in an agency queue.
